Nauryzbai Kuttymbetovich (1706-1781) - one of the three flag-bearing heroes of Abylai Khan (Karakerei Kabanbai, Kanzhigaly Bogenbai, Shapirashty Nauryzbai). Nauryzbai took part in the famous battle of Anyrakai. Batyr's life was spent in the war against the Dzungars. Nauryzbai's heroism in 1729, killing Kalmyk heroes Shamalkhan and Kaskelen in a battle, spread to the Kazakh steppes.

Literary and historical facts and legends of the country suggest that Nauryzbai Batyr became popular and proud in 1727-1731. One of the moments of Nauryzbai Batyr's life is recorded in the diary of Karl Miller, the ambassador of the Russian Empire to Kaldan Seren, a Dzungar settler, in the autumn of 1742.
