The mausoleum of Shanyshkyly Berdykozha is located in Temirshi aul of Karkaralinsk district of Karaganda region.Shanyshkyly Berdykozha batyr (1685-1786) was one of the heroes who fought in the battle against the Dzungars in the time of Abylai. According to historical data, Berdykozha did not hold a khan's meeting without a hero, nor he went on a campaign.
Berdykozha Batyr fought in the battles of Ayagoz, Bulanty-Bileuti and Sarysu rivers, Talky, Emba, Alakol, Ulanasu, Kandysu, Aidynsu, Shar, Shorga in Altai, near Kozymanyrak, Koimanyrak, Akshauli, Itishpes lakes, Anyrak.There are various reports about the death of the hero. In defense of the country's interests, Berdykozha is constantly on the march, often fighting in bloody battles with Bogenbai, Karakerei Kabanbai, Alban Raimbek, Naiman Kokzharly Barak, Baigozy Tarakty, Zharylgap Karakesek and Zhaugash Batyr. According to Mashkhur-Zhussup, when he found out that he was going to be killed by the enemy, he said to his wife: –I was left in the land of the enemy, you will not be able to take away my body, cut my one finger, bury it in your neighborhood and build a building, call it “Building of Berdykozha”. Those who remember me will pray”.
