Saint Terekty is located 85 km from Zhezkazgan, Karaganda region, 20 km northwest of Terekty station.

Chronological period: Bronze Age (beginning of 2-1 millennium BCE); to the Scythian-Siberian epoch (XII BCE - I century BCE) and the Middle Ages.Along with the petroglyphs of antiquity, the "Saint Terekty" is a sacred place where traces of precious metals and various mounds were found in the Early Iron Age. The most common petroglyph is a picture of a horse. There are also pictures of camels, bulls, goats, deer, snakes, cats, as well as carts with two horses. And the abundance of various symbols and signs, geometric figures testify to the fact that this place was an altar in ancient times. Here you can see the divine, mythological, religious and philosophical worldviews of the nomads through the images of animals and the 12-year calendar. Traces of the Saint Terekty have become the basis for many myths and legends.
