The historical and cultural center of the First President was opened in Temirtau, Karaganda region in 2011 with the participation of the Head of State. The center is aimed at spiritual formation, spiritual, moral and patriotic education of Kazakhstanis, as well as access to national and world art and culture.The center has six exhibition halls, which tell the story of the formation of independent Kazakhstan and the life and work of the President. The first hall is called “Independent Kazakhstan”. The exhibits in the hall tell the story of the first years of independence of the country.The second hall is called “Child of his time”. There are photos and documents related to the future President's youth, parents, place of birth, school days and education at the №8 technical school in Dneprodzerzhinsk, Ukraine.In the third hall “Personality”. There are exhibits related to the beginning of N. Nazarbayev's career at the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant, his student years, the formation of the family of the future President. The fourth hall is called “Kazakhstan's steel face”. Here is a complete set of metallurgical production using new innovative technologies. The fifth hall “In the course of time” There is valuable information about the beginning of N.Nazarbayev's political career, from the first secretary of the Komsomol Committee of Temirtau to his election as the First President of Kazakhstan.The sixth hall is called “Kazakhstan's way”. There are exhibits about the creative work carried out in the country under the leadership of the President since the independence of Kazakhstan, significant socio-political events and economic achievements in Kazakhstan during the years of independence.
