Koktynkol village, 50 km north-west of Akadyr village, Shet district, Karaganda region, near Zhylandy subdivision. Baigozy Naimantaiuli (1705-1803) was one of the flag-bearing heroes of Abylai Khan, who performed great feats in the war against the Dzungar invasion in defense of the country and freedom of the Kazakh people. The mother of Baigozy batyr is Sholpan, the sister of Tarkhan Eset batyr, who ruled the Zhetyru of the Junior Zhuz. His father Naimantai batyr Sutemgenuly was one of the main heroes of Tauke khan. In a battle with the Dzungars, Baigozy shot the Kalmyk leader with a bow, repulsed the enemy, saved the Kazakh army led by Abylai Khan and Shakshak Zhanibek from defeat and led to an unexpected victory. Baigozy's name became known from then on.The stories of Baigozy Batyr, who was in the middle of the battles between the Kazakh and Kalmyk troops and showed great feats, can be found in the works of Chokan Valikhanov, Mashkhur-Zhusup Kopeyev, in the poems of such poets as Zhanak and Shuzhe. In his essay on the heroes of the XVIII century, Chokan Valikhanov interestingly tells about the heroic deeds of Baigozy batyr, along with such famous heroes as Zhanibek, Bayan, Zhanatay.
