The mausoleum of Baizak Mambetuli is located on a hill on the border of Dikhan and Sarykemer rural districts of Baizak district of Zhambyl region.Baizak Datka Mambetuli (1789-1864) was a hero who organized the national liberation struggle against the Kokand Khanate and the Russian Empire. From an early age Baizak mastered horsemanship, bird-watching and sniping. Growing up, he was a village elder, a centurion, a captain. He organized the country for business, settlement, digging ditches and farming.
Baizak Mambetuli grew up as an independent man, the head of the aul, during the independence of his native land, which did not belong to either the Kokand Khanate or Russia. After the conquest of the southern region by the Kokand Khanate, he and his brother Baiterek took part in the uprising led by Sultan Rustem Asfendiyaruli (1821). Baizak Mambetuli, as an authoritative person, was appointed as a datka to his relatives. Datka disobeyed the Kokand colonizers and sought to pursue an independent policy, protecting the interests of the Kazakhs. He became known as a reliable companion of Kenesary Kasymuly in the struggle against the colonizers.
