Karakozha Mosque is one of the most beautiful architectural monuments in the Talas region. It was built in 1909. It is located on a flat plain near the aul of Seilbek, Oyik aul, Talas district, Zhambyl region.In his time, the construction of the Karakozha mosque was influenced by Zhupan ana. Zhupan is the daughter-in-law of a noble family, blessed, and despite the fact that she is a young widow from her husband, she perseveres and leads the construction of this historic facility. First, she went to Tashkent, where she brought carpenters and built this mosque. After the construction of the mosque was completed, fourteen-year-old Karakozha was appointed imam. During the construction of the mosque, the people of the area were involved in good deeds.The mosque is one of the most frequented holy places, forming a complex adjacent to the Chechen Memorial.Karakozha mosque is decorated in the architectural style of the Shu-Talas region of the XIX century. The structure is rectangular, made of baked pieces. The arched quince on the eastern side is covered with nine domes of the same size. Only the dome of the hall where the mihrab is located is quite high. This highlights the importance of religious construction in a large-scale project. The low facade is made of ceramic bricks and plastered.
