It is located in Karatobe cemetery, 15 km south-east of Shebir village, Mangistau district, Mangistau region. Dosan Tazhiuli (1835-1876) - People's Hero, one of the leaders of the Mangistau uprising. In the spring of 1870, Dosan Tazhiuli and Isa Tlenbayuli launched a national liberation uprising against Russian colonizers. The soldiers led by Dosan defeated the punitive detachment of Lieutenant Colonel Rukin, who had come to collect taxes from the Kazakh people, at Ushauyz. He crossed into the Khiva Khanate, engaged in a fierce battle with a punitive detachment sent from the Caucasus. In 1874, a search party led by Anichkin surrounded the aul of Dosan on the Ustyurt plateau in Samkum and captured the wounded hero. Dosan died in Fort Prison two years later. The body of Dosan Batyr was delivered to Bozashchy by a group of people led by Zhangabyl (father of the national poet Sattigul Zhangabyluli).The heroic deeds of Dosan Batyr were sung by poets Aktaban, Balaoraz, Kalniyaz, Sattigul. People describe Dosan as a very agile, lightning-fast, intelligent and unique person.
