It is located 15 km south-east of Ushtagan aul of Mangistau district of Mangistau region. Masat Ata cemetery and underground mosque date back to the X-XIX centuries. The interior of the mosque is like a four-winged house with a roof-like opening.
Masat Ata is a well-known figure who helped to establish Islam, a hero who defended his country from the enemy. He was famous among the men who carried out bloody campaigns against Kalmykia, defended his country from the enemy and fought hard. According to the legend, his enemies tried various ways to kill Masat Ata, but to no avail. It is said that when Masat Ata gets up for the morning prayer, his body's systems become loose and weak, and all around, the sand and stones melt. At that moment, the enemy came and killed Masat Ata. The beheaded man goes to prayer. Masat Ata ran out of the house with his head wrapped in a blanket, and a milk mare with a slave near the house followed. Traces of a saint, a slave and a mare, as well as traces of blood dripping from the neck of the grandfather fell on the greenery at the crossroads. The mare and the mare give birth. It is said that the hero, who died at the hands of a traitor, flew to heaven so as not to leave his body. But there are legends that the underground mosque remained in the same condition.
