The foundation is made of natural stone, the belts are transported by camel cart from Orenburg, the base is made of red brick. The first chief imam Sagidulla Iztleuov was a literate man who spoke Arabic, Persian and Russian. In the 30s of the XX century, the religious symbols of the mosque were destroyed and it was turned into a drama theater, technical and economic warehouse. ⠀In the frame of independence, it was repaired in 1999 and rebuilt. It was overhauled in 2014.

One of the most popular legends about the history of the mosque is that the underground passage in Oiyl is connected with the mosque. Through this subway, merchants used to go to the markets and to the house of a rich merchant.

The first original dome of the mosque was made of silver, like a Muslim dome, and it used to have a large cross. Due to the legend during the years of political repression, the dome of the mosque was demolished and hidden in a local ravine.
