The memorial complex is located in Zhirenkopa village of Kobda district of Aktobe region. The mausoleum is dedicated to the black Kipchak Kobylandy batyr Toktarbayuly (XV). The mausoleum is located at the burial place of the hero. One of the sources about Kobylandy batyr is one of the epic heroic songs of the Kazakh people - the song “Kobylandy batyr”. According to the events of this song, Kobyland's heroic journey begins with the struggle against the enemy of the Kazakhs at that time - the Kyzylbas (Persians) and their invading khan Kazan. Judging by the names of the batyrs they fought against, it is clear that they are the descendants of the famous Yedige batyr. Kobylandy batyr's friendship with Orak batyr and his enmity with Alshagyr - a historical period in which the Kazakh Khanate supported one of the internally divided Nogai hordes and fought with the other.
Orazak Ismagulov, the head of the Central State Laboratory of Anthropology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, identified and proved that the remains in the tomb belonged to Kobylandy batyr.
