Akmeshit Cave is located in Baidibek district of South Kazakhstan region, about 90 km from Shymkent. The cave is a hollow formed in the layer of limestone. From time to time water drips from the holes in the shell. From the inside, the rim looks like the roof of a yurt.
Inside the cave there is a crack about 7-8 meters long. So people work hard and pray to God. In one of the several legends associated with the Akmeshit cave: in this cave there was a large mosque, which was important for the people. There was no access to the mosque from the outside, no one knew where it was. At the beginning of the twentieth century, part of the dome collapsed and was replaced by a hole leading to the cave. People built stairs here, and pilgrims came and stayed there. There were four underground passages leading to the central dome. Due to changes in the earth's crust, underground roads were closed and remained underground for several years. Only in the early twentieth century, as a result of research, the dome was restored. Named Akmeshit, this cave attracts visitors with its unique mystical world.
This is a sacred place for those who ask for a child - a child, who accepts the intentions of those who come sincerely. It also removes the tongue, eyes, and forehead. Akmeshit cave is always brown and cold: it is hot on the ground, here it is about 17-19 degrees.
