The mausoleum is one of the most outstanding monuments of the Golden Horde period (XIV-XV) in Central Kazakhstan, the best work of architecture. It is located 3 km above the confluence of the rivers Karakengir and Sarysu in Ulytau district of Karaganda region. There is a lot of information about who Bolgan ana was in real life. One of them says that Bolgan ana was the daughter-in-law of Alasha khan, and according to another legend, she was the queen who ruled here in Central Kazakhstan until the arrival of the Dzungars in the early XV century.

Another legend says that Bolgan ana was the granddaughter of the famous Genghis Khan, who conquered half the world. Evidence of this can be found in the writings of scholars who wrote in Arabic, Persian and Turkic languages about eight centuries ago that in 1211 the khan of the Kangli state of Bolgan was extended to Syganak-tegin (some historical works call him Suknak). In the writings of Rashid-ad-Din, in the works of academician V.V. Bartold, it is written that Bolgan ana (Bolgan begi) was the daughter of Jochi khan.Built in a prominent place, the Bolgan Ana dome seems to have been very beautiful in the first versions. The structure of the mausoleum is one-room, built of burnt bricks. The beam on the facade is hollow around the entrance to the portal and is made as a wall pattern. The lower square of the room is trumpeted through the corners at the entrance to the dome. Trump's armpits are decorated with a double brick with a sloping corner. The main facade-portal is decorated with two P-shaped skirts, one of which was a geometric ornament. Only one or two decorative bricks have survived to this day.
