The mausoleum of Bukarbai Batyr is located 21 km northeast of Karaketken aul of Zhalagash district of Kyzylorda region. Due to poor preservation, the mausoleum was renovated in 1993. Bukarbay Estekbayuli (1812-1898) - a hero, participated in the Kenesary uprising, was the leader of the uprisings of the Kokand Khanate. He took part in the capture of the Akmola fortress in August 1838. He was one of the organizers of the attack on the Kokand fortresses of the Kenesary army, including the liberation of the fortress of Suzak. Bukharbai batyr was a companion of Kenesary khan until his death in April 1847.In 1850, Bukarbay's troops attacked the fortresses of Kazaly, Aral, Koskorgan and defeated the Cossack-Russians and Kokand. In 1852, in the struggle against Bukhanbay Batyr's troops against the prince of Khiva, Kozhaniyaz, he broke down the Karaboget dam and flooded the Kuandarya, where the canal was blocked. He fought against the Kokands in the liberation of the Kazakh lands from the Kokand invaders, recognized the supreme power of the Russian Empire and assisted the tsarist army in the conquest of the fortress of Akmeshit. In one of the battles with Kokand, Bukarbay Batyr was seriously wounded. He received awards from the tsarist government for his participation in military campaigns against the Kokand Khanate. Towards the end of his life, he lived in a rural area and engaged in peaceful farming.
