Dzhankozha Nurmukhameduli (1774-1860) - the leader of the national liberation uprising of the Kazakhs against the oppression of the Khiva and Kokand khanates and Russian colonizers. Khiva, which began to dominate the Kazakhs living along the Syr Darya and the eastern shores of the Aral Sea in the 1920s, opposed the tyranny of the Kokand khanates and thought about the integrity of our people and the unity of our country. The heroism of Dzhankozha Batyr is widespread among the people. There are many stories about the joint attacks of Zhankozha Batyr with the last Kazakh khan - Kenesary, who came to capture the Suzak fortress. This time, Batyr and his men first came across the Kokand army, which was coming to the aid of the Suzak fortress, defeated them and drove them back. Then he returned to Suzak, Kenesary knelt down and captured the fortress. It was the soldiers of this Dzhankozha batyr who broke down the gates of the fortress and entered first.
