Fountains on the front alley, courageous faces on the bas-reliefs, the figure of the mother in mournful silence and Eternal fire - the memory of the people's feat.
The monument "Otankorgaushylar" is one of the most beautiful in the country. The bronze stele, consisting of 101 spikes, symbolizes the unity of all ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan. The stela is placed on a square, raised powerful granite base with green slopes along three sides and a wide staircase leading to it. The central figure of the monument is a woman. For the first time in such a memorial complex, a woman is depicted, not grieving, but smiling, calling for unity and harmony. The bas-relief on the right depicts Soviet soldiers of the Great Patriotic War.
On the bas-relief on the left are the Kazakh batyrs, who won the hard struggle of the Dzungarian Khanate in the 18th century. The eternal flame is lit at the foot of the monument. The bowl, symbolizing prosperity and peace on earth, held in the hands of the Motherland, is covered with a thin layer of gold leaf.
The memorial in 24 meters contained 63 tons of pure Karaganda bronze. And it was created by his creative team of Karaganda sculptors. The hand to it was put by metallurgists, sculptors, fitters, workers of other specialties - thousands of people. The main avenue that leads to the Monument to the defenders of the Moherland is the main composition axis that pervades the whole territory of the park and unites all the functional zones into one whole.
There are parades of Victory Day and lovers walking, slowly walking mothers with wheeling prams with baby from nearby houses and drawing teenagers on roller skates and skateboards. Dancing fountains in colorful light decoration, comfortable benches, green lawns, variegated flower beds and sails on the Rowing Channel - the monument to the Defenders of the Motherland has long and firmly won the hearts of the townspeople.
