Ukash Sahaba is a historical figure who first brought Islam to our steppes. There are many legends about "Ukash Ata". He is also called Ukasha Ata. The Companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), a descendant of the last Prophet, was widely regarded as the military commander of the Muslims. According to the legend, Ukash Ata was a giant hero, impenetrable to swords and bullets. Anes, who lives at the beginning of the Kazakh genealogy, lives alongside the Companions. In addition to being a companion of the Prophet, Ukash Ata has valuable information about his ancestry. It shows that he is of Turkic origin.
It is believed that the water from the sacred well is connected underground to the Zamzam spring in Mecca. Priesthood purifies the soul, while white springs satisfy the thirst and purify the body. At the head of Ukash Ata well there is a small yurt-like structure. The depth of the well is 22-25 m. At the head of this well, the whole Muslim community comes to the shrine to pray to Allah and get rid of their sins. Everyone who comes here enters the mausoleum where the tomb of the first Ukash Ata is located and reads the Koran. Then he goes to a well at the top of the mountain to get water. The legend of the mausoleum, where the miraculous well and the tomb of the Companion lay, was widely spread in the past through songs and epics.
