Kuttybay, the son of the father, in 1695 headed the embassy of the Kazakh Khanate to the Russian people. This event is written in golden letters in the history of diplomatic policy of the nomadic country.The name of Kuttybay (Kutan), who was brought up by his father Atalyk, experienced people around the khan, such as Orazai, was widely known in the Kazakh steppes at that time. Today, a branch of the Aktas clan, which settled in the Kichitau-Ulytau region, is called Kutan. Information about Kuttybay (Kutan) is given in the works of such well-known scholars as M. Karatayev, H. Suinshaliev, M. Magauin, A. Seidimbek, in the ancient literature, in the genealogy of the country, sometimes he is called Kuttybay, sometimes Kutan, known to the locals as Kutan aulie. Well-known writer, ethnographer and scientist S.
